Exporter Branches out in US
10th October 2011
Award winning Dorset explorer Network Telex has opened a new US office in Alcoa, Tennessee, and recruited the state’s former senator to the group. It follows a Dorset Business trade mission to Blount Country, Tennessee last September. Network Telex’s new US Company is co-owned by former Tennessee senator Bill Clabough. It is already doing business with New Orleans, Chicago, Florida and Seattle. Bill Clabough is a powerful ally for Network Telex, having met the likes of President George Bush and Steven Spielberg. Ferndown-based Network Telex started as a Prince’s Trust company. It has now exported to 175 countries via 12 offices around the world – much to the pride of Prince Charles, with whom founder Philip Clarke dined in Vena Cruz, Mexico. In a letter earlier this month, Prince Charles wrote: “I can think of no better ambassador for our business programme or role model for people wishing to start up in business” Network Telex provides PC-based Telex Solutions. Telex is still used in the banking, shipping, oil/gas and government/military sectors, mainly in developing countries.
